Leading early careers organisation, Pathway CTM, has partnered with QA, the UK’s largest tech training provider, to open up more apprenticeship opportunities to young people from under-represented backgrounds in Birmingham and Manchester.
This new partnership brings together two specialist organisations with a shared commitment to creating accessible pathways into digital and technology careers. By combining Pathway CTM’s trusted outreach to diverse early talent with QA’s high-quality apprenticeship programmes and deep expertise, the collaboration is already helping more young people take their first steps into the tech sector.
QA offers a wide range of digital apprenticeships and training solutions across high-growth areas such as artificial intelligence, software development, IT, and data analytics. With a client base that includes Costa Coffee, Amazon and Microsoft, QA’s programmes are designed to close skills gaps, build internal capability and future-proof workforces.
Pathway CTM connects employers with career-conscious students from diverse and underrepresented communities. Through its events, mentoring and resources, Pathway CTM helps thousands of students each year access opportunities at major employers such as United Utilities, the Financial Conduct Authority and HSBC.
David Cunningham, Events and Engagement Manager at QA, said: “Pathway CTM has a strong reputation in the early careers space, and from the outset it was clear that their values aligned closely with ours at QA.
“We have worked closely with the team to engage underrepresented groups in Birmingham and Manchester, and this partnership has helped us reach unemployed individuals and those from low IMD decile areas, creating valuable opportunities for those who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
“The team’s support has been instrumental in introducing these individuals to the workshops we provide through our Tech4Futures, EduQAte, and Teach the Nation programmes, giving people real skills and insight into the world of technology and the career paths it offers.
“We’ve had a really positive experience working together so far. The team is flexible, responsive and always open to exploring new approaches – which helps us reach the right audience and connect with future talent more effectively.”
Chris McNamara, founder and CEO of Pathway CTM, added: “Working with organisations that share our values is always exciting, and we’re delighted to partner with QA to help young people kickstart their careers in the tech and digital world.
“Apprenticeships offer a powerful combination of skills development, qualifications and on-the-job learning. Our collaboration with QA is already helping students access those benefits, setting them up for long-term career success.”
Pathway CTM currently partners with over 50 top employers and delivers free events, mentoring and career resources to thousands of students every year. Its mission is to ensure every young person – no matter their background – can access meaningful career opportunities.
