Hartmann Young, the Leeds-based life sciences recruitment specialist, has announced a series of senior appointments following a record first half of the year.
The company has seen strong growth in 2025, with sales over the first half of the year £1 million higher than during the same period in 2024. The growth follows chief executive Tom Maskill and chief business officer Sheridan White, establishing a new performance-driven culture.
To support its next phase of development, the company has appointed Mark Burns as board advisor. A long-standing business coach and trusted adviser, Burns brings decades of experience helping high-growth companies scale effectively and will work closely with the leadership team on leadership development, operational improvement and business optimisation.
“Mark has been a key influence in my own development and in the businesses I’ve built,” said Maskill. “He brings clarity, structure and real commercial insight. His impact will be felt across every part of the company.”
Hartmann Young has also expanded its advisory board with five new appointments: Dr Bhuwnesh Agrawal, a senior executive with global healthcare experience; Jeremy Stackawitz, CEO of global molecular diagnostics firm, SpeeDx; Heather Granato, a communications specialist with a background in health and wellness; Sean Kearney, an expert in technology and AI-Powered healthcare innovation; and Maddy Sadiq, global head of human resources for MedTech company, Phagenesis.
These appointments reinforce the firm’s ambition to become the global leader in mid-to-senior level life sciences recruitment. Hartmann Young has built a reputation for deep sector insight and long-term partnerships that support medical innovation, working with early-stage start-ups, SME’s, and multinationals across Europe, the USA, and APAC.
Maskill concluded: “We’re investing in efficiency, marketing and training to build a business that delivers lasting value and becomes the go-to recruitment partner in global life sciences.”
